This was so good I had to reblog it. My hat tip to “The Avenging Red Hand” for telling me about this blog, “The Soul of the East”.

The Soul of the East

Lev Aleksandrovich Tikhomirov (1852-1923) became one of Russia’s great theoreticians of monarchism, yet in a former life he was a leading ideologue for the left-terrorist People’s Will. While underground in Paris, Tikhomirov recovered the Orthodox faith of his childhood. After a radical shift in worldview, he requested and was granted pardon from the Tsar. Originally published in Moskovskie Vedomosti, here is an excerpt from his 1894 post-mortem reflection on Alexander III, the man to whom he owed his freedom in Russia. Translated by Mark Hackard.

Our most pious Ruler truly died before us the death of the righteous, without fear or despair. He himself declared how he felt death’s approach. This day, the 20th of October, was the one day of his reign when he was not working for his country. The evening before, he was still giving his decisions to questions of governance, and on papers from the 19th…

Valentine’s Day

Can you hear it? The faint rumbling in the distance is getting closer and louder by the second. Its the rumbling of a herd of millions upon millions of American betas rushing to beat each other at publicly castrating themselves in honour of Valentine’s Day. They will do it on Facebook, they will Tweet it, they will do it at restaurants. They will humiliate themselves in every way possible, all to win the love of “that girl”.

Gentlemen, this behavior may have always seemed sick, twisted and wrong to you in the very depths of your manly soul. This behavior is wrong! It may have seemed to you that any woman who saw this behavior in a man would be disgusted by him. You were right! Most women deep down lose incredible amounts of respect for their boyfriends/husbands when they see this behavior come out.

Valentine’s Day is a commercial holiday, invented by marketers to increase sales. It has nothing to do with the real St. Valentine. That being said, if you would like to do something nice for your girlfriend or wife on this day, there are manly ways to do it.

1) As with chivalry, do it in a manly way. If you give a small gift, it cannot come from a place of neediness, it must come from a place of strength. If you are looking for something in return, forget it, you are being beta.

2) Always be a man. Follow your ambitions, pursuits, goals, dreams, put yourself first. Then and only then will the time spent with you be special to her, because you are an alpha and you are making time for her on your schedule. She will enjoy it, and think about it for weeks while her friends who date beta boy-men will be disgusted by their clingy neediness.

3) Make no public displays of affection. This includes posting on Facebook about how, “so many months ago, the most amazing woman I have ever met came into my life…ad nauseum….”. DO NOT DO THIS….I repeat…DO NOT DO THIS!!!

4) After you have done what you planned, as you wanted, jump back on your horse and get out there and tackle life, stopping at nothing to achieve your goals!!!

The Great War and Revolutionaries

This year we will mark the beginning of the Great War. For those of us raised in the west we have been taught that this was a war against tyranny and oppression. This was a war waged against the aggression of the Central Powers. Yet, in truth, this was a war on monarchy, on religion and the old order. Russia, by choosing the Allies over the Central Powers, lost not only the war but her very soul. Her own “allies” in Parliament cheered at the news of the Romanov downfall. The United States refused to enter the war on the same side as an autocratic monarchy. Tsar St. Nicholas abdicated in March of 1917, the United State joined the war in April of the same year.  In Germany, the vacuum left by the removal of the monarchy would pave the way for Hitler and the atrocities committed by his regime. Many smaller, former monarchical governments would fall to fascism as well; Romania, Bulgaria, and Hungary to name a few. Of course, we cannot forget Italy.

War is never the right option, but sometimes it is the lesser of two evils. It is entirely possible to be prepared for war while not desiring it. It is totally possible to be prepared to defend your family while doing everything humanly possible to avoid violence. In fact it is the manly thing to do. It was often said that the greatest samurai was the one who never drew his sword.

As Crown Prince Wilhelm stated perfectly in and interview with a foreign journalist; “Undoubtedly this is the most stupid, senseless and unnecessary war of modern times. It is a war not wanted by Germany, I can assure you, but it was forced on us, and the fact that we were so effectually prepared to defend ourselves is now being used as an argument to convince the world that we desired conflict.”

It is a hallmark of “revolution” that the old order must be stamped out without mercy. Every last bit of tradition, family, religion, society, art must be deconstructed and destroyed. We see the same pattern, the same people from the time of Cromwell through the French Revolution, the “Reign of Terror” and the genocide by the republicans in the Vendees. We see it in Russia, China, Eastern Europe. Their tactics are always the same, they are masters at psychological warfare and propaganda. Many well intentioned people will be attracted to their philosophy, the saddest of all are the Christians who somehow see some kind of message compatible with the Gospel in the revolutionary poison. The fate of these people is evident in the history books, collaboration brings only temporary solace.

For us there is hope. In the cultural wasteland that we now live in we have the ability to change people one at a time. The men who rise against the tidal wave of mediocrity, entitlement and laziness will stand out. They will be beacons to others who are raising their faces from the mud, looking for a way out. Though it may look bleak when observing our surroundings, we can be at the very beginnings of a return to a patriarchal society. We as men can choose to rise or to be stuck in the mud, its up to us to make the call.

Observations from a Business Trip to Las Vegas

I recently returned from a trip to Las Vegas. I will share three observations that I made during that trip.

1) While boarding the plane to head to Las Vegas, I was standing on line and a woman was on the phone telling her child the things that she left prepared for him or her. There were things in the fridge, toys here and there etc… It was what mothers do and it struck me as to how right it was, and how right it is for us to defend families. We must defend the family and all of its traditional roles and dynamics. This is the job of men.

2) On the way to my hotel, I was driving around a little, and strayed into a local area of town not far off of the strip. There were some apartments there, dingy, dirty, unkempt. People loitered around. Here was the income inequality so recently talked about. Here seemed to be income inequality by either choice or addiction. You could have given any one of those people $1 million dollars and I doubt it would be the end of the week before they were broke again. No amount of government assistance will change that.

3) On my way back I witnessed the sad, sad, state of a beta male in action. The said beta lovingly took care of his not so good looking girlfriend, who was flirting with two other men during the whole flight. He kept trying to make physical contact with her, and it was clear to see how she became more and more repulsed by his advances as the flight went by. I truly felt sorry for this young man. I felt sorry because he got himself into this situation in the first place, he is doing everything that people told him women want. I doubt that their relationship survived this past weekend, the death dance had started. There is no doubt in my mind that he is sitting there with his other beta buddies, wondering how this could ever happen to him. After all, he sacrificed everything for her! Such is the fate of all betas.

Until next time,

The Obligatory Aristocratic Fool

I recently watched another episode in the “Sharpe” series about the battle of Waterloo. It amazes me how the gods of political correctness and revisionist history worm their way into everything. In this episode there is blatant manipulation of historical fact, in order to make those with hereditary right seem almost semi retarded. The main target in this episode was the Dutch Prince of Orange. He was portrayed as completely out of touch with reality, making tactical decisions that caused several massacres of his men. His nickname among the British was “silly Billy”.

The historical perspective is quite different. The Prince of Orange served in the British armed forces, he was respected by the British troops because of his courage and was called “Slender Billy” by them. He was even wounded in the battle of Waterloo. He would later go on to concede to the liberals in 1840’s, something I am not thrilled with myself.

It seems that the vast majority of films made in the west are compelled to show at least one nearly sub human aristocrat, either drunk with power, or a 3 year old boy in an adult man’s body. Yet, who won the battle of Waterloo? Who beat back Napoleon from Spain? An aristocrat and military genius named Wellington. Who were the officers who scoured the globe by land and sea to make the British empire what it was? Aristocratic officers did this.

Likewise, we have many officers, government officials and politicians, all the way up to the presidency, who have been incompetent fools in an elected system as well. Aren’t people complaining that Congress is out of touch with America? Those are the same congressmen who are elected by the “people” and “for the people”.

People being people, I am certain that there were aristocrats who were power hungry, cared nothing for those under their command, were corrupt or sexual deviants. It seems to me that we have just the same amount of these people in a democratic government, all you need to do is read the newspapers.

Control of Your Thoughts

We all know that the current spectrum of political beliefs in the United States is awry. “Conservatives” are mostly looking back to the 1980’s as some golden age of American society. “Liberals” are at the very least socialist, with a large segment drifting into fascism and communism daily. To us who are monarchists, all of these “parties” or theoretical groups are liberal, it doesn’t matter if they claim to be Republican, Democrat, or any other variation on a theme. Within these sub groups there seems to me one particular trait that is isolated to the socialist/communist/fascist camp. Not only do they want to control you, your actions, and your money, but they want to control your very thoughts. For lack of a better term, they want your soul. This is at the core of the political correctness onslaught that we are witnessing right now. Political correctness is nothing new, but recently we have witnessed a wave of attacks on businesses who refuse to participate in same sex marriage. The governor of New York cries that anyone who thinks differently from him is not welcome in his state. So much for, “the land of the free”. The homosexual agenda has gone from pushing “tolerance” of their lifestyle to an intolerance of anyone who does not agree with them, particularly religious groups. Each year, graduates from schools know less about silly things like English, math and history because teachers have spent more and more time politically indoctrinating students.

Yes, there is a thought police, but controlling our thoughts is the one thing they can never accomplish. No matter what, a man’s thoughts will always be his own. The natural order of things is on our side. We only have to behave in certain ways, we only have to be traditional masculine men, and suddenly people around us start to change as well. It all begins with us and how we see ourselves and our world. From that point on, we start to behave more and more like men.  The women around us start to behave in a  more and more feminine manner. Society falls in line, this is exactly why they are trying to deconstruct traditional manliness, it is their greatest fear.

Look at the body language of this supporter of the king as the roundhead thought police storm into his house. He owns the situation, so much so that they are taken aback.

God save the King!

Why Christianity is Turning Its Back on Men.

My uncle was a priest. I remember when he died. I remember the funeral and my first limousine ride to the church and to the grave site. After some years I found the obituary clipping from the local Daily News. What I found most interesting was something the bishop said about him. He said that my uncle was, “a priestly man and a manly priest.” My uncle died when I was 10 years old, so my memories of him are somewhat vague, but my father is full of stories about him hunting, fishing, camping and going to baseball games. He was a strict man, born in 1912, he was one of the old guard. He cared nothing for the changes that took place in both society and the Church as a whole. He was most certainly an unashamed reactionary.

Later in my life, while in the service, there was a Catholic chaplain named Fr. Paul. He was in his mid 60’s at that time and did not need to take part in any PT as he was past the age limit. Fr. Paul would have none of that! Fr. Paul would run with us daily, keeping up with men who could have been his grand children. Fr. Paul would go to the range with us and shoot. I still remember vividly a scene of him in the turret of a Humvee firing off the grenade launcher. Fr. Paul would later fall off of a cliff while hiking in California. After some time a bicyclist spotted him 20 feet down and called emergency. He was life flighted to the nearest trauma center, the fall had literally split his spleen in half. He recovered and from the last thing I heard was back at his physical activity.

Both Fr. Paul and my uncle were men. They behaved like men, thought like men, worshiped like men. As a result, their congregations were full of both men and women. Times have changed. As I grew up I was often perplexed at how priests seemed to prefer to surround themselves with women. As I became more serious in attending church and learning about my religion, I often felt ostracized for my traditional beliefs and masculine character. It seemed that women were pushed into roles that men had traditionally held. When I questioned why these things were happening I was generally dismissed or treated like a bigot. I can’t think of any instance where I was given an explanation.

These things still happen, they are only getting worse. The mainline Protestant denominations who accepted more female roles in their churches are now rife with division and losing people in droves. The Roman Catholic Church is becoming more and more feminized by the day. In many cases the priest is relegated to a secondary role in the life of the church.  Eastern Orthodoxy is the only denomination that has by and large remained true to its roots, although the American Church is flirting with the aforementioned problems. As a result, men are fleeing Christianity in record numbers.

I believe that there are several reasons for the problems that we are facing as well as several solutions.

The reasons.

1) The twin sisters of Socialism and Democracy have spread their venom even into religion. For the past century almost every aspect of western civilization has been tainted with this poison. As a result, even well meaning priests and bishops see religion through the eyes of democratic socialism. Often they look back at both church history and tradition through the lens of democracy and come up with very skewed results. Almost everyone who is raised in the west is taught to abhor tradition. It is a strange phenomenon to see American converts to Orthodoxy rejoice over finding the unchanged Church, then promptly do all they can to start changing it. The focus is now on the people rather than God. Traditional social values are now canned because they may offend someone who would then not come back to church. Women have a greater and greater role in civil society, therefore they must also have the right to greater roles in church. The role of the laity is becoming more and more important. If you are Catholic, look at pictures or paintings of worship before the 1960’s, it will be completely unfamiliar to you. Ask yourself why the priest now faces the congregation, and why lay people now give out communion.

2)Most religious people who consider themselves traditional will almost always label themselves as being anti feminist. While they may not agree with the man hating, aggressive feminist ideals they in fact actively promote a feminist agenda. Any agenda that does not see the man as head of the family, society, government and church is feminist, pure and simple. There is no gray area. If a person believes that women have any liturgical role in a church, they are a feminist. Feminist ideology and the idea of “women’s rights” has become so ingrained in our culture that it takes a radical rejection of said culture in order to step back and see it. Just as men seem to be in such a rush to give up their power in all aspects of their lives, a church hierarchy is no different. You can sit back and watch as women are given more and more power daily. There is intense pressure on all men, priests and bishops included, to feel guilt for being men, to apologize for men and manly things, to actively put women in traditional male roles. Most men in the west are educated in a system run by women. From an early age they spend the majority of their time with female authority figures, this throws off people’s judgement.

3)Male dominated societies adhere to tradition. Male dominated religions adhere to tradition. When men are replaced with women, the innovation starts. When men are in charge of religion the religion is difficult, it is a journey, it is transforming. When women are in charge it becomes softer and more lenient, the bar becomes lower.

4) For some reason people seem to think that the virtues of kindness, compassion and others belong solely to the feminine. If a man displays the virtue of compassion for instance, it is said that he displayed a feminine virtue. People then think that Christianity is something feminine because these virtues are held in high esteem. The virtues are the virtues, they are gender neutral. No virtue is in and of itself feminine. If a heavy weight boxing champion performs an act of compassion is that feminine? I think not.

The solutions:

1) Orthodoxy is the only masculine Christian denomination left. As I mentioned before, there are struggles just as in other churches, but the traditional male/female dynamic is not hard to find in an Orthodox church, particularly in an immigrant church. This is the church of great warrior saints, this is the church of Christian empires, this is the church where Tsar Nicholas II and his family are saints. This is a church where you will find monarchists alive and well. You will not have to look deeply here to find a solid, masculine religion. Here you will find Christianity as it was meant to be, and it is manly.

2) Challenge those in leadership. Always be respectful, but ask questions. Many times those in authority have not stopped to think about these things because, once again, they were raised and educated in this society. Make some noise, let them know that they are not reaching you as a man. Let them know what you think, how you feel, but always approach with respect for the office.

3)Work on yourself. Keep striving to be the better, more masculine man daily. You will soon find other men on the same journey. Establish friendships, groups, do masculine things together. Once people start following the natural order, others will follow, deep down they will recognize it and be drawn to it. It works in attraction and it works in business, politics and religion as well.

Men, lets take back religion and our rightful place in it!

Until next time.
